Originally from Reunion Island, I have been teaching for 20 years in New Caledonia. For family reasons I would like to return to the country. Of course, Mayotte is not my native island. But, it is the island closest to my land, to my ancestors. This desire to return to the Indian Ocean is visceral. Being able to spend weekends with the family on Reunion Island is a strong desire. Coming home once or even twice a week would be extraordinary. From New Caledonia this is impossible or even chimerical. Certainly, I am well integrated among the Kannak: beautiful country, welcoming people. The students are very courteous although the school culture is taking root in the hearts of our children. Otherwise, I have taught in all levels. Currently I have option F and option D. My training lies in particular with children in great difficulty. I taught a lot in kindergarten.
