My expat journey

Cape Town, South Africa
I would like to be able to complete my degree online while in Cape Town, alongside being able to further my career in the social services and human welfare sectors. There is a lot of untapped potential in Cape Town for aid projects, and I would absolutely love to be a part of that movement.
Currently in Canada I work in the animal welfare sector, and if that were to transfer into my life abroad that would be great. Right now I work with dogs, feeding and generally caring for them in a daycare-like setting. However with my education I feel that I will be best suited for a role in human welfare, more specifically guided toward assisting women and children.
On top of being geographically beautiful, Cape Town was one of the friendliest and most vibrant cities I have ever travelled to. Almost everyone I came into contact with was willing to spare a smile and some of their time chatting, even if it were in an inane conversation.
I think the crime rate is an obvious flaw that comes with the city. Taking those extra precautions to guard from being a victim of crime can be exhausting, yet necessary. Corruption is also prevalent enough that it is visible in every day life.
