I come from Cagnes sur Mer where I came to retire after a life of work in the Paris region and having raised my son alone since my husband died my son was one year old. He came to work in SG then in Bangkok. I have just become a grandmother and my plan is to come often and even I am trying to find out if the family visa can suit my case as a grandmother to stay a very long time with my grandson and teach him French since my son and his wife speak to each other in English and my daughter-in-law's family is Thai so my son is counting on me to teach him French like I did for him and he has confidence since I taught him to read and I coached him during his studies .. I am delighted with this project but the only problem is being able to stay in Thailand without going through resident retirement status where we have to block a large sum.
