About
I am of Martinican origin, I grew up in Haute Provence and I have lived for eight years in the Hautes Alpes, just above, in Gap. In my family it's a whole mix of diverse and varied ethnic groups, because we find Spain, Brazil, Mayotte for my side and that of my partner, it's Italy, Morocco and Austria! My cousins are: Montreal for one and Vevey for the other (soon Brazil because his husband is from there).
The desire to move to Portugal came from a couple of long-time friends, whose husband is of Portuguese origin, who therefore suggested that we set up a small tourism business at the water's edge.
The photos they showed us taken during a trip to the Algarve combined with Google Earth on my tablet (which has become my new game lol) immediately made us feel this desire to taste a much better quality of life. Why not? At 38 it's not too late!
I have already been to Spain, Martinique, Switzerland and Tunisia. The town where I grew up (Sisteron, in Haute Provence) is twinned with Oliva, in Spain (Valencia).
I know this city and some of the inhabitants well and I have visited the most beautiful corners of Spain on trips/school exchanges. I have excellent memories and the beauty of the Spanish landscapes, and Portugal, which is unknown to me for the moment, is similar to it I find...
Speaking and understanding Spanish, I should get by in Portuguese, my friend will give me lessons!
We have given ourselves a year to mature our project, we intend to go to the Algarve for the first time this fall, to take the time to discover this beautiful country and the warm souls who live there.
