Runaway case

I resigned from the company last year and gave the resignation letter to the post office and I got new job since now my visa is expired. i found out i have runaway case.聽 I went to the agency to clear the case and told me i get a lawyer but still i will聽 be detained for 3wks, is it true i have to be detained even if i have a lawyer ?

Depends on many variables.聽 Just get a lawyer and ask him to handle it.
