I took a road trip to the Philippines. Land of contrasts, there is so much to see and so many beautiful islands that I am considering returning there perhaps this year. Why Cebu? For what ? The discussions here gave me a little insight that made me want to see a little more. And if by chance I wasn't happy in Cebu, I can move, I'm not a tree... Kind regards to all the expats???
Retired from an IT activity.
The most: Nature, the islands, the environment, security, even a little heavy, the ease of contact and contact with the population in general.
The minuses: the food (I ate a lot of pasta to avoid local food or shitfood), putting up with poverty (in parts of Manila for example). Road insecurity, but we adapt quickly.
